Visual ViewRaw DataInteraction Data
Combined Shape
A plant-derived flavonoid used to clear senescent (aging) cells.

Fisetin is a flavonoid polyphenol found in many plants, such as strawberries and apples, with potent senolytic properties. It selectively induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in senescent cells, which are dysfunctional 'zombie' cells that accumulate with age. By clearing these cells, fisetin may reduce the chronic, low-grade inflammation they secrete (SASP), potentially improving tissue function and mitigating age-related decline.

Verdict

A promising senolytic, but human evidence for longevity is still emerging.

MONTHLY COST

$30 - $70

Protocol

  • Intermittent high-dose senolytic therapy: ~20mg/kg daily for 2-3 consecutive days, repeated monthly or quarterly.
  • Chronic low-dose support: 100-500mg taken daily with a source of fat to improve absorption.

Flags

  • Very poor oral bioavailability; should be taken with fats or in a liposomal formulation.
  • May interact with blood-thinning medications like warfarin due to anti-platelet effects.
  • High-dose senolytic protocols lack long-term human safety data.
  • Supplement quality and purity can vary significantly between manufacturers.
